NGC 3435 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sb in the constellation Ursa Major at the northern sky . It is an estimated 234 million light years from the Milky Way and about 125,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy NGC 3407 .
The Type Ia supernova SN 1999bh was observed here.
The object was discovered on April 9, 1793 by Wilhelm Herschel .
