NGC 3439 is an elliptical galaxy from the Hubble-type E3 and Leo constellation on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 273 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 35,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 3388 , NGC 3417 , NGC 3427 , NGC 3436 .
The object was discovered by Albert Marth on March 25, 1865 .
