NGC 3443 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Scd in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 47 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 50,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 3454 , NGC 3455 , NGC 3457 , NGC 3461 .
The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on April 24, 1887 .
