NGC 3436 is a spiral galaxy from the Hubble type Sab and Leo constellation on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 289 million light years from the Milky Way and about 60,000 light years in diameter.
The galaxies NGC 3388 , NGC 3417 , NGC 3427 , NGC 3439 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered on November 30, 1877 by the American astronomer David Peck Todd .
