NGC 3408 is a spiral radio galaxy of the Hubble-type Sc in the constellation Great Bear in the northern sky . It is an estimated 428 million light years from the Milky Way and about 100,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on April 8, 1793 .
