Arp 270 or NGC 3395/3396 is an interacting pair of galaxies in the constellation Leo Minor and about 72 million light-years from the Milky Way. Halton Arp organized his catalog of unusual galaxies into groups according to purely morphological criteria. This pair of galaxies belongs to the class double galaxies with linked arms .

Both objects were discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on December 7, 1785 . The southern arm of the galaxy NGC 3395 received its own entry in the index catalog ( IC 2605 ), which the astronomer Guillaume Bigourdan observed on April 11, 1899.
