NGC 3380 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBa in the constellation Little Leo in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 70 million light years from the Milky Way .
The object was discovered on April 11, 1785 by the astronomer Wilhelm Herschel .
