IC 2604 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBm in the constellation Little Leo in the northern sky . It is around 72 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 25,000 light years . She is a member of the eleven galaxies counting NGC 3396 group ( LGG 218 ).
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 3395 , NGC 3396 , IC 2608 , IC 2613 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on May 7, 1887 .
