IC 662 is an elliptical galaxy from the Hubble-type E2 in Leo on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 520 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 140,000 light years in diameter .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 660 and IC 661 .
The object was discovered on March 11, 1893 by Stéphane Javelle .
