IC 637 is a spiral galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type S in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 291 million light years from the Milky Way and about 140,000 light years in diameter.

In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 3346 , IC 635 , IC 638 .

The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on January 15, 1894 .
