Ingrida Radzevičiūtė (born October 31, 1974 in Vilnius , Lithuanian SSR ) is a former German handball player . She played for many years at HC Leipzig in the handball Bundesliga .
Career
Ingrida Radzevičiūtė started playing handball at her school when she was 10 years old. Here she was discovered by trainers from a youth sports school. At the age of 18, the backcourt player made her debut in the Lithuanian national team.
In 1994 she moved from the Lithuanian club Eglė Vilnius to HC Leipzig. With the HCL she won four championships (1998, 1999, 2002, 2006) and five cup victories (1996, 2000, 2006, 2007, 2008). After her farewell game on May 31, 2008, she ended her career. In February 2010 she started her comeback at the regional division TuS 1860 Neunkirchen . When Radzevičiūtė moved to Leipzig in early 2011, she also left TuS Neunkirchen. In the 2010/11 season she was signed for the last three games of the season from SV Aufbau Altenburg. She then extended her contract in Altenburg.
In 1998, the trained bank clerk took on German citizenship. Ingrida was not eligible to play for the German national team due to a three-year ban, but she took part in courses for the national team. Since the World Handball Federation shortened her suspension, she was able to take part in the 1999 World Cup. She was part of the expanded 28-man squad for the 2007 World Cup , but did not take part in the World Cup.
Familiar
Radzevičiūtė is in a relationship with former professional footballer Marcel Rozgonyi . The couple have a daughter together.
