Inna Evgenjewna Suslina ( Russian Инна Евгеньевна Суслина ; born January 5, 1979 in Tashkent ) is a former Russian handball player .

Career

Suslina began her handball career in Rostov-on-Don in 1997 . One year she joined ASU-Adyif Maikop. From 2001 Suslina guarded the gate of the top Russian club GK Lada Tolyatti , with which she won the Russian Cup in 2002 and the championship in 2002, 2003 and 2004. Then Suslina moved to the Danish first division club GOG Svendborg TGI , with whom she won the Danish Cup in 2005. From 2008 Suslina was in the gate of the Russian first division club Zvezda Zvenigorod , with whom she won the EHF Champions Trophy in the same year . After two seasons with Zvezda, she returned to Rostov-on-Don. From the 2012/13 season she played for the Macedonian club ŽRK Vardar SCBT . With Vardar she won the championship in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 as well as the Macedonian Cup in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. After the 2017/18 season Suslina ended her career.

Suslina has played over 150 international matches for the Russian national team . With Russia she became world champion in 2001 , 2007 and 2009 . At the European Championships she won the silver medal in 2006 and the bronze medal in 2008 . At the 2008 Olympic Games she won the silver medal.
