The Galerie Georg Nothelfer (own spelling today: galerie georg nothelfer ) is an art gallery for modern art founded in 1971 , which is located on Corneliusstrasse in Berlin-Tiergarten .

Georg Nothelfer's focus is on Art Informel , Tachism and gestural painting. The gallery represents artists such as Pierre Alechinsky , Shūsaku Arakawa , Peter Brüning , Michael Buthe , Eduardo Chillida , Christo and Jeanne-Claude , Alan Davie , Galli , Karl Otto Götz , Manfred Hamm , Thomas Hartmann , Gerhard Hoehme , Edgar Hofschen , Jannis Kounellis , László Lakner , Henri Michaux , Robert Motherwell , Herta Müller , Arnulf Rainer , Dieter Roth , Emil Schumacher , Kazuo Shiraga , KRH Sonderborg , Artur Stoll , Helmut Sturm , Walter Stöhrer , Antoni Tàpies , Fred Thieler , Mark Tobey , Wolfgang Troschke , Cy Twombly , Jan Voss and Fritz Winter .

From 1978 to May 2008, the gallery was located on Uhlandstrasse in Berlin-Charlottenburg and thus on the traditional West Art Mile around Kurfürstendamm . The gallery has been using rooms at Corneliusstrasse 3 in the Tiergarten triangle since 2000. After giving up the old gallery space in Uhlandstrasse, the gallery opened a showroom in autumn 2010 at Grolmanstrasse 28 in Berlin-Charlottenburg.

The gallery regularly takes part in the international art fairs ARCO in Madrid, Art Basel , fiac in Paris, Art Cologne in Cologne and Art Karlsruhe .

For years, Nothelfer has been very committed to the artist catalogs (now over 50) and its own edition and publishes books and artist editions (now over 110). The edition includes extensive books and cassettes with original graphics by the artists it represents.
