Thomas Hartmann (painter)

Thomas Hartmann (* 1950 in Zetel ) is a German painter .

Live and act

Thomas Hartmann studied from 1974 to 1979 at the University of Design in Bremen under Karl Heinrich Greune . In 1979 he worked on a scholarship at the Cité Internationale des Arts Paris and in 1984/1985 at the Deutsche Akademie Rome Villa Massimo .

In 1994 he was a visiting professor at the Summer Academy Pentiment the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg . In 1998 he stayed at the Künstlerhaus Leschwitz near Görlitz. In 1999 he had a teaching position at the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt University in Greifswald . In 2005 he received a professorship for painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg .

Thomas Hartmann is a member of the German Association of Artists. He lives and works in Berlin and Nuremberg .
