The Innspitz is the triangular area where the Salzach flows into the Inn between the two rivers. It consists of a still water bordered by two banks and a dense riparian forest strip behind it, extending between the two rivers, and offers a habitat for a large number of animal and plant species.

The Innspitz belongs to the neighboring Upper Bavarian municipality of Haiming . As part of the Salzachtal landscape protection area , it is under nature protection and is part of the Unterer Inn European bird reserve ( nature reserve bird sanctuary Salzach estuary ).

The area can be seen from the surrounding cities z. B. from Burghausen or Altötting by bike. The Salzhandelsweg cycle path from Bad Reichenhall to Stammham crosses the Innspitz between the alluvial forest and the still water.
