Inrath

The Inrath is a district of Krefeld in North Rhine-Westphalia and together with the Kliedbruch forms the district Inrath / Kliedbruch .

The former Honschaft Inrath (first mention "apud eynre") belongs to the original districts of the old glory Krefeld along with Dießem and Lindental .

The population is 11,582 (December 31, 2007) , the area 3.47 km². The number of employees is 3,474 (December 31, 2002) , the number of unemployed 803 (June 30, 2003) .

Inrath lies between the center of Krefeld and the Krefeld district of Hüls. The district of Inrath can be easily reached from the main train station in Krefeld via tram line 044 or via the motorway exit A57 - Gartenstadt.

Via the Kliedbruch (a recreation area) you reach the Kapuzinerberg (approx. 77 m) in Krefeld . The mountain is a former garbage dump. After the successful renovation, a summit cross was attached and the mountain was made available to the public. Directly behind the Kapuzinerberg is the Inrather Berg (approx. 87 m). This is a former rubble dump. This mountain and its surroundings have also been successfully renovated and are used by all Inrathers and Krefeld residents to relax.
