The Institute for European Partnerships and International Cooperation (IPZ) advises municipalities, partnership committees, youth organizations and educational institutions on practical issues of international partnership matters and European work.

founding

The IPZ was founded in 1982 as the “International Partnership Working Group”. In 1990 it was renamed “Institute for European Partnerships and International Cooperation” and entered under VR 1637 in the register of associations at the Siegburg District Court .

purpose

The purpose of the association is to promote the European idea, international sentiment, tolerance in all areas of culture and international understanding through partnerships between local authorities, regions and organizations as well as international contacts and cooperative partnerships of all kinds. The association is politically and denominationally independent.

activities

The IPZ advises partnership committees and associations, municipalities, schools, youth organizations and educational institutions on all questions of international cooperation with a focus on Europe. Annually holds numerous information seminars, European forums, youth workshops, international conferences and workshops.

The institute has so far published numerous publications on practical questions of partnership work - mostly self-published. News, survey results and publications have been appearing in the "IPZ aktuell" newsletter for years.

The institute is a member of the European Movement Germany Network (Network EBD) . The clients and sponsors of the work are federal ministries, the press and information office of the federal government , the European Commission , ministries of the federal states, the Franco-German Youth Office , the German-Polish Youth Office and various foundations.

The director of the institute is Anna Noddeland, the deputy being Marijke Mulder.
