International Formula Masters 2010 season

The 2010 International Formula Masters season was to be the fourth season of the International Formula Masters . The season would have started on May 22, 2010 in Monza and the last race of the season would have taken place on September 19, 2010 in Valencia .

Regulations

Technical regulations

In the International Formula Masters all teams drove the same car - the Formula 2000 from Tatuus . The chassis and body were made of carbon fiber. The engines were from Honda and possessed at 2000 cm 3 engine capacity of over 180 kW. The brakes were supplied by Brembo and the tires by Yokohama . The electronics came from Magneti Marelli . The safety standards corresponded to the FIA regulations for Formula 3 from 2008.

In addition, there should have been a light class in 2010 , in which racing cars from the years 2007–2009 would have been used.

Sporting regulations

Each race weekend would have started on Friday with two 45-minute training sessions and a 30-minute qualification, which would have determined the starting grid for the first race. The first race would have been held on Saturday and would have covered a distance of around 75 km. The second race on Sunday would have had a distance of around 100 km. The starting grid for this race would have been based on the result of the first race, whereby the first eight would have started in reverse order.

The master would have received a test day in the GP2 series .

Only the Italian team Euronova Racing had registered for the 2010 season .

The 2010 Formula Master season would have included seven race weekends in seven different countries. Two races would have been run on each racetrack. All races took place in the framework program of the WTCC .

Ratings

In the first race, the eight best drivers would have received points according to the scheme (10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1). In the second race only the best six drivers would have received points according to the scheme (6-5-4-3-2-1). In addition, there would have been one point for the fastest race lap and one point for the pole position in the main race. The teams only received points for their two best cars.
