Ioana-Smaranda Pădurariu (born February 26, 1987 in Iași ) is a Romanian chess player who has been playing for the Dutch Chess Federation since February 2014 .

In July 2005 she won the Romanian individual championship of the female youth U18 in Vioneasa. In December 2005 in Băile Tuşnad she reached second place at the Romanian individual championship for women, tied behind WIM Angela Dragomirescu . She was able to win the title a year later in Predeal by half a point . In November 2008 she won the 3rd Grand Prix of Iași .

With the Romanian national team, she took part in the U18 Women's European Championships in 2001 and 2004 on the top board (2001 in the second team, 2004 in the first). At the Mitropa Cup 2006 she played in the women's team on board two. In 2008 and 2009 she played for Romania in comparative matches with Bulgaria. She plays club chess in Romania for the CS Politehnica Iași , with which she also took part in the European Women's Club Cup 2008. In the Netherlands she plays for DSC Delft , in the German women's Bundesliga from the 2012/13 season to the 2015/16 season for SF 1891 Friedberg .

She has held the title of International Women's Champion (WIM) since June 2007. She achieved the standards for this at the European Women's Championships in Chișinău in June 2005 and at the Romanian Women's Individual Championships in December 2005 and December 2006.
