Iraklis Thessaloniki actually gymnastics club Iraklis Thessaloniki, ( Greek Γυμναστικός Σύλλογος Ηρακλής Θεσσαλονίκης ) is the outsourced basketball section of the Greek sports club Iraklis Thessaloniki . The department was founded in 1924 in Thessaloniki . In 1928 and 1935, Iraklis Saloniki was Greek Master .
history
In 1924, 16 years after the club was founded, Iraklis Thessaloniki offered its members a basketball department for the first time. Iraklis won the first Greek championship in 1928. In 1935, 7 years after the first title, Iraklis was again Greek champion .
The 2005/2006 season represented a low point in the club's history. After a lot of bloodletting, the newly formed team did not manage to keep the class and was relegated to the A2 league.

Iraklis plays his home games in the "Ivanofeio Arena" built in 1987. "Ivanofeio Arena" is part of Iraklis Thessaloniki and offers places for 2,443 spectators.
