Irina Anatolyevna Beglyakova

Irina Anatoljewna Beglyakova ( Russian Ирина Анатольевна Беглякова , English transcription Irina Beglyakova, née Челная - Tschelnaja - Chelnaya ; * February 26, 1933 ; † March 19, 2018 ) was a Soviet discus thrower .

At the European Athletics Championships in 1954 in Bern, she won the silver medal.

On October 30, 1956, she set her personal best in Tashkent with 52.71 m. A month later she won silver at the Olympic Games in Melbourne with 52.54 m behind Olga Fikotová from Czechoslovakia (53.69 m) and in front of her compatriot Nina Ponomarjowa (52.02 m).

In 1958 she was fourth at the EM in Stockholm .
