Irini Aindili

Irini Aindili ; Greek Ειρήνη Αϊνδιλή , also Eirini Aindili; (Born March 11, 1983 in Chalkida ) is a former Greek athlete in rhythmic gymnastics .

Vita

Irini is the daughter of Angeliki and Georgios Aindili and has a brother, Dimitris . Between 1998 and 2003 she was a member and team captain of the Greek national rhythmic gymnastics team .

In September 2003, at the age of 20, Irini announced that she was leaving professional sport. As she told Alpha TV , she has been suffering from a sports injury for over three years and is now ending her career. That same year, she went to the United States to pharmacy study. In 2010 she graduated and returned to Greece.

In 2012 she was given the honor of being one of the Olympic torchbearers.
