Iris Andraschek-Holzer

Iris Andraschek-Holzer (born June 23, 1963 in Horn ) is an Austrian visual artist .

Live and act

Iris Andraschek-Holzer studied from 1982 to 1988 at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Maximilian Melcher . From 1986 to 1987 she was in training at the fresco school in Bolzano . The artist works mainly in Lower Austria and Vienna . Significant larger works were created in Gmünd and Wiener Neustadt , for example . From 1997 to 2000 she worked for the Lower Austrian provincial government as an advisory board for art in public spaces. She has been a member of the MAERZ artists' association since 2008 , as well as the FLUSS association, the Lower Austrian initiative for photo and media art in Wolkersdorf in the Weinviertel region, and the Vienna Secession .

Awards

Her work was supported by numerous scholarships and prizes, including the Füger Prize in Silver in 1984 and the Lower Austrian Promotion Prize in 1988 .

In 2015 she was awarded the Austrian Art Prize. For 2018 she was awarded the City of Vienna Prize for Fine Arts .
