Ironi Naharija is a professional Israeli basketball team from Nahariya . After playing first class as Hapoel Ironi for two seasons in the early 1990s , the team had their most successful decade after being promoted to the second division in 2000 until they were relegated from the first to the second division in 2010. As the Israeli runner-up in 2003, they reached the quarter-finals in the FIBA Europe League in 2004 and were able to repeat this success the following year, when they again reached the round of the best eight teams in this European club competition. After financial difficulties at the end of the decade, the city of Nahariya itself recently acted as sponsor and financier of the team.

After the founding in 1970 they reached the highest Israeli league Ligat ha'Al for the first time in the 1991/92 season , which they had to leave again after two seasons and after another two seasons was passed through to the third division.
