The season 2004/05 was the second season of the FIBA Europe discharged Euro Challenge and the last under the name of Europe League.
Dynamo St. Petersburg from Russia won the title for the first time .
mode
The tournament started with a group stage consisting of two groups of eight teams and two groups of seven teams each. The top four in each group made it to the round of 16, followed by the quarter-finals. Both rounds were played in a best of three series. The two semi-finals, the game for third place, and the final took place as part of a Final Four tournament.
