Iryna Kakujewa ( Belarusian Ірына Какуева ; born June 24, 1973 in Podoserzi ) is a former Belarusian biathlete .

Iryna Kakujewa lives in Vitebsk . She works as a trainer and started biathlon in 1988. Opportunities for international missions only arose with the end of the Soviet Union and the formation of several new national associations in the successor states, including Belarus . She contested her first races in the World Cup at the start of the 1993/94 season in Bad Gastein . While she still missed the points in the individual as 53rd, the Belarusian won points for the first time in the following sprint as 12th. Her best individual international result reached Kakujewa at her career highlight, the 1994 Winter Olympics , when she was sixth in the sprint race. In the singles she was 28th and with Natallja Permjakawa , Natallja Ryschankowa and Swjatlana Paramyhina as the starting runner of the season also sixth. The greatest success she achieved at the 1994 World Championships in Canmore , where the non-Olympic team competition was held. Kakujewa won there with Natallja Permjakowa, Natallja Ryschankowa and Swjatlana Paramyhina in front of the representations of Norway, France and Germany the world championship title. After her only season in which she was 20th overall in the World Cup, she ended her career.
