Irina Nikolayevna Kindzerskaya or Iryna Kindzerska ( Ukrainian Ірина Миколаївна Кіндзерська , Russian Ирина Николаевна Киндзерская * 13. June 1991 in Kamianets-Podilskyi ) is a judoka who until 2016 for the Ukraine took and since 2017 for Azerbaijan starts. In 2013 she was third at the European Championships and third at the World Championships in 2017.

Athletic career

İrina Kindzerskaya was third in the 2007 European Cadet Championships. In 2008 she won her first Ukrainian heavyweight championship title, followed by other titles in 2010, 2012 and 2014; In 2012 she also won the title in the open class. In 2009 Kindzerskaya won the U20 European Championships and won silver at the U20 World Championships behind the Bosnian Larisa Cerić .

At the 2011 European Championships in Istanbul, the 1.80 m tall Kindzerskaya took seventh place. In 2012 at the Olympic Games in London she was defeated in the quarterfinals by the Chinese Tong Wen . After a victory in the hope round over the Russian Jelena Iwaschtschenko Kindzerskaya lost the battle for bronze against the British Karina Bryant . The following year, she lost to French Émilie Andéol in the semi-finals of the 2013 European Championships in Budapest , and defeated German Jasmin Külbs in the battle for a bronze medal . In 2016 she competed for the last time at the Ukrainian national championships and lost in the final against Switlana Yarjomka .

The 2017 World Championships were held in Budapest, the city in which Kindzerskaya won its only European Championship medal in 2013. In 2017 she defeated Larisa Cerić in the quarterfinals and lost to the Chinese Yu Song in the semifinals . She won the battle for bronze against the Dutch Tessie Savelkouls and won her first championship medal for Azerbaijan. In 2018, Kindzerskaya took seventh place at both the European and World Championships . The 2019 European Championships were held as part of the European Games in Minsk, Kindzerskaya won a bronze medal.
