Presentation of the song

Is It Right ( German  Is it right ) is a folk - pop -Song of German women's trios Elaiza . The music was written by Frank Kretschmer and the front woman of the band, Elżbieta "Ela" Steinmetz; the text comes from Adam Kesselhaut and Ela Steinmetz. On May 10, 2014 the band competed with the title for Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen and took 18th place.

The piece was first published on the LP March 28 of the BerlinerMeisterSchallplatten label; the recordings for it were made on March 28, 2013. In November 2013, the song was published on YouTube , the band applied with the song for the club concert of the German preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest Our song for Denmark . The group won the competition with almost a quarter of the votes and received a wildcard for the actual preliminary decision. On February 28, 2014 Elaiza released the EP Is It Right / Fight Against Myself on the Heart of Berlin label . On March 13, 2014, the group won the preliminary round with Is It Right , representing Germany at the ESC on May 10, 2014 in Copenhagen, where they came 18th out of 26 finalists.

Is It Right reached position four in the single charts in Germany and was in the top 10 for six weeks and in the charts for 20 weeks. In the German airplay charts , the single reached the top position for two weeks . In Austria the single reached position 14 in ten chart weeks, and in Switzerland it was ranked 43rd in one week. In 2014, the single was 46th in the German annual single chart. Furthermore, Is It Right reached the top of the chart in Poland .
