Isabel Soerling

Isabel Sörling (* 1987 in Ulricehamn ) is a Swedish jazz and improvisation musician (voice, composition).

Sörling studied jazz at the Ljungskile Adult Education Center in 2008/2009 . She then studied improvisation music at the University of Gothenburg and at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris. She leads the Marvel project and belongs to the collaborative groups Farvel and Soil Collectors . With the group Cabaret Contemporarian and Linda Oláh she has reinterpreted works by Moondog . She toured in Europe and North America and also presented her music at festivals such as the 12 Points Festival in Dublin, the Umeå Jazz Festival and Jazzahead . She also worked with Airelle Besson ( Radio One ), Christophe Wallemme ( Ôm Project ), Paul Lay , Paul Anquez, Bribe4, Guilhem Fouzat and Anne Paceo . She also sang the title song of the French television series Jusqu'au dernier .

With Farvel she won the Nordic Jazz Comets in 2010 and the Swedish Radio Jazzkatten Award in 2012.
