Isabel Van Buynder (born October 4, 1991 in Ostend ) is a Belgian ski racer .

Career

Van Buynder started an FIS race for the first time on November 20, 2006 in Tignes, France, and reached 38th place in the Super-G . In 2009 she started in all five races of the Alpine World Ski Championships in Val-d'Isère . In the super combination , she finished 24th, 32nd in the downhill , 47th in the giant slalom and in the super-G and slalom , she was eliminated. A month later Van Buynder took part in the Junior World Championship 2009 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and was 42nd in the downhill, 48th in the Super-G and 40th in the slalom; in the giant slalom she was eliminated. At the beginning of next year she took part in the Junior World Championship 2010 , where she finished 46th in Super-G, 53rd in slalom and 48th in downhill races; The Belgian could not finish the giant slalom. At the Junior World Championships 2011 in Crans-Montana , Switzerland, Van Buynder was 36th in giant slalom and 29th in slalom. At the Alpine World Ski Championships 2011 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the Belgian reached 65th place in giant slalom, while she was eliminated in slalom. She made her only start in the Alpine Ski World Cup on December 2, 2012 at the Super-G in Lake Louise , Canada ; she reached the 49th rank. At the 2013 Alpine World Ski Championships in Schladming , Austria , Van Buynder finished 29th in the super combined, and she finished 35th in the downhill race.
