Isabell Hülsen (* 1973 in Düsseldorf ) is a German journalist . She has headed the business department of the news magazine Der Spiegel since 2019 .

Career

Hülsen completed a master’s degree in political science , history and journalism at the University of Hamburg in 2001 . She began her professional career at the Financial Times Deutschland . In 2007 she moved to the economic department of Spiegel , which she has been heading together with Markus Brauck since February 2019.

In 2019, Hülsen was a member of the jury of the "German Journalists' Prize Economy, Stock Exchange Finances" (djp).
