The Isis River is a river in the east of the Australian state of Tasmania .

geography

River course

The river has its source on the northwest slopes of Mount Franklin in the Great Western Tiers , about 2 km north of Lake Sorell . From there it first flows east-northeast to the settlement of Ellinthorp . Then it turns its course to the north and flows about 2 km west of Wyldes Plain into the Macquarie River .
