Occurrence

Isoimperatorin occurs naturally in small amounts in the roots of parsley and angelica , as well as in orange peel .

Isoimperatorin is a yellowish solid. It has an anti-inflammatory effect and also has an effect on cell proliferation . In mast cells matured in the bone marrow , it was observed that the compound inhibits the production of COX-1 and COX-2-dependent phases of prostaglandin D2.
