List of Israeli ambassadors in Austria

The list of Israeli ambassadors in Austria provides an overview of the heads of the diplomatic mission in the Republic of Austria since the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948 until today. Since 2006 the ambassador in Vienna has also been accredited as ambassador to the Republic of Slovenia .

An embassy of the State of Israel has existed since 1959. It is located in the former villa of Archduke Otto , father of the last Emperor of Austria, Emperor Karl I, at Anton-Frank-Gasse 20 in the cottage district in Währing .

At the embassy today there are also:

  • Consular Section of the State of Israel
  • Administrative Department of the State of Israel
  • Permanent Mission of the State of Israel to the United Nations in Vienna ( UNO , UNIDO , CTBTO , IAEA )

The ambassador also acts as a permanent representative ( Ambassador Permanent Representative ) to the UN and UNIDO, there is a separate ambassador for the CTBTO and the IAEA.
