List of Israeli ambassadors to Turkey
In the 1967 Six Day War , the armed forces of Egypt were defeated by the Israeli armed forces and the Gaza Strip was occupied. As a result, Suleyman Demirel's government limited itself to representation in Tel Aviv by a first-class embassy secretary. The Israeli governments restricted the formal rank of their representative in Ankara accordingly.
According to the Jerusalem Act of July 30, 1980, the conspirators of September 12, 1980 under Bülend Ulusu reduced the rank of their representation in Tel Aviv to that of second-class embassy secretary. The Israeli governments restricted the formal rank of their representative in Ankara accordingly.
