The Issole is a river in France that runs in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region . It rises in the French Maritime Alps , on the southwest flank of the Sommet de Denjuan mountain peak (2401 m), in the municipal area of Thorame-Basse , drains generally in a southerly direction, reaches the Verdon Regional Nature Park in the lower reaches and flows 29 kilometers at the municipal boundary of Saint -André-les-Alpes and La Mure-Argens as a right tributary to the Verdon .
