Career

societies

Ćosić began playing football at the age of six at SSV Reutlingen 05 , which was based in his birthplace, and in 2003 moved to the youth department of VfB Stuttgart . After four seasons he switched to the Stuttgarter Kickers , for whose U-19 team he was active for one season.

In March 2008, the SSV Reutlingen 05 announced the change from Ivan Ćosić to the professional team. The previous contract period was extended in July 2009 to the end of the 2010 season. For SSV Reutlingen he played 35 point games in the fourth-class Regionalliga Süd , where he made his debut on March 14, 2009 (22nd matchday) in a 3-2 win in the away game against SC Freiburg II . After he prematurely terminated his contract with the club on May 10, 2010 at his own request, a day later the change to FC Bayern Munich was announced, with which he received a two-year contract. He made his debut in the third division after a long break due to injury on February 5, 2011 (23rd matchday) in the 2-0 defeat in the away game against Eintracht Braunschweig . After Bayern's relegation , he moved to Eintracht Frankfurt after only one year and only four appearances in Hermann Gerland's team for the 2011/12 season , for whose second team he was active in the Regionalliga Süd for half a year. In January 2012 - during the current season 2011/12 - he received a contract from the Israeli first division club Maccabi Netanja, which was valid until the end of the season. In seven league games he contributed to fourth place . From summer 2012 to autumn 2014 he remained without a club, before he received a contract valid until June 30, 2015 with his former club, SSV Reutlingen, from October 4, 2014. In the fifth-class Oberliga Baden-Württemberg he was only used on May 23, 2015 (34th matchday) in the 1: 4 defeat in the away game against Karlsruher SC II . At the end of the season he ended his active football career due to long-term injuries.

National team

On May 22, 2007 Ćosić made his international debut when he lost 1-0 with the U-18 national team in Orašje against the selection of Bosnia-Herzegovina. In the 1-0 win two days later in Županja against the same selection, he was also used, as well as in his debut for the U-19 national team on April 17, 2007 in Steyr in the 0-1 defeat against the Austrian team.
