Ivan Foschi

Ivan Foschi (born February 6, 1973 in Rimini ) is a San Marinese politician .

Life

Foschi joined the Rifondazione Comunista Sammarinese in 1997 and was secretary of the party from 1998 to 2006. He ran for the first time in 1998 for the San-Marinese parliament, the Consiglio Grande e Generale , but only occupied eighth place on the list of the RCS, which won two parliamentary seats. In the 2001 parliamentary elections, Foschi was able to enter parliament on the RCS list, and he defended his mandate in the 2006, 2008 and 2012 elections on the Sinistra Unita list .

In 2001 Foschi became a member of the Consiglio dei XII , the Foreign Affairs and Finance Committees, and was a member of the San Marinese delegation to the OSCE .

After the 2006 elections, the SU formed the government with the PSD and the AP . The SU provided two ministers, Foschi became Minister of Justice (Segretario di Stato alla Giustizia, ai rapporti con le Giunte di Castello, all'Informazione e alla Pace) , he retained this post during the cabinet reshuffle in 2007 after the Democratici di Centro joined the government .

In 2008 the SU went into opposition, Foschi became chairman of the SU parliamentary group and a member of the finance and justice committee. After the parliamentary elections in 2012, Foschi was again a member of the Justice Committee.
