Ivan Krpan

Ivan Krpan (born May 28, 1997 in Zagreb ) is a Croatian pianist . In 2017 he won first prize at the piano competition named after Ferruccio Busoni .

Biography and music career

Born into a family of musicians, Ivan Krpan began playing the piano at the age of six. He was tutored by Renata Strojin Richter. In 2019 he is in the fifth year of the Music Academy in Zagreb, in the class of Ruben Dalibaltayan. He has been giving concerts internationally since 2018, including in the Small Hall of the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg.

Albums

In 2018 he recorded an exclusive album with works by Frédéric Chopin and Robert Schumann on the IDAGIO label (original spelling).
