Ivan Peko (born January 5, 1990 in Mostar , SFR Yugoslavia , today Bosnia and Herzegovina ) is a Croatian football player .

Career

society

Peko started his career at HŠK Zrinjski Mostar . For the 2007/08 season he moved to Croatia in the youth team at Dinamo Zagreb . In October 2007 completed his first game for the professionals from Dinamo in the 1. HNL when he came on on the 14th match day of that season against Inter Zaprešić in the 71st minute for Mario Mandžukić .

For the 2008/09 season he moved to the second division NK Lokomotiva Zagreb . With Lokomotiva he rose to the end of the season in the highest Croatian league. He scored his first goal in the 1st HNL in December 2009 in a 2-1 win against NK Istra in 1961 . In the winter break of the 2009/10 season, he was taken back under contract by Dinamo Zagreb, but was loaned directly back to Lokomotiva.

After two and a half years on loan, Peko returned to Dinamo for the 2012/13 season. After half a year at Dinamo, in which he completed seven games in the 1st HNL, he moved back to Lokomotiva. During the winter break of the 2013/14 season he moved to Bosnia to NK Široki Brijeg . In March 2014 he played his first game in the Premijer Liga against FK Radnik Bijeljina . He scored his first goal in the top Bosnian league in April 2014 in a 3-0 win against FK Borac Banja Luka .

For the 2015/16 season he returned to his youth club Zrinjski Mostar. With Mostar he became Bosnian champion in 2015/16 and 2016/17. He left the club after the 2016/17 season. After several months without a club, Peko moved to NK Vitez in September 2017 . After a few months at Vitez, he returned to Široki Brijeg during the winter break of the 2017/18 season. After ten games for Široki Brijeg, he left the club at the end of the season.

After half a year without a club, Peko moved to the Austrian second division club SV Horn in February 2019 . He left Horn after the 2018/19 season. After a season without a club, he returned to Croatia for the 2020/21 season and moved to the lower class NK Neretva Metković .
