Iwan Brouka ( Belarusian Іван Броўка , Russian Иван Бровко / Iwan Browko; born April 20, 1980 in Minsk , Belarusian SSR , USSR ) is a former Belarusian handball player . Brouka, who last played for the Belarusian club SKA Minsk and played for the Belarusian men's national handball team, was mostly used on the left wing .

Career

Ivan Brouka started playing handball at SKA Minsk in his hometown. There he also made his debut in the Belarusian premier league. With SKA won the Belarusian championship and the cup in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002. In 2002 he moved to the Ukrainian series champion ZTR Zaporischschja , where he won the Ukrainian championship in 2003, 2004 and 2005. In 2005 he joined the German MT Melsungen , which had just been promoted to the 1st  handball league . After a total of six seasons he left Melsungen and moved to Dinamo Minsk. With Dinamo he won the championship in 2012 and 2013 and the trophy in 2013. After Dinamo withdrew from all competitions in spring 2014 due to financial problems, he switched to his home club SKA Minsk. After the 2019/20 season, Brouka ended his career at SKA Minsk and took over the position of team manager in the club's youth department.

Iwan Brouka played 207 international matches for the Belarusian men's national handball team and is the record player for his country. With Belarus he qualified for the European Championship in 2008 and 2014 as well as the World Championship in 2013 .
