Ivan Dmitrijewitsch Kassutin ( Russian Иван Дмитриевич Касутин ; born October 17, 1986 in Vologda , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with Metallurg Novokuznetsk in the Vysschaja Hockey League since July 2017 .

Career

Ivan Kassutin began his career with the second team of Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in the third class Pervaya league before moving to the Russian second division club Disel Pensa in 2005 , where he stayed for one season. From 2006 to 2008 the goalkeeper played at HK CSKA Moscow .

With his next employer Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk he was under contract between 2008 and 2011 and developed there to the goalkeeper. In May 2011 he was signed by HK Spartak Moscow for two years and played for Spartak until January 2012 in the Continental Hockey League . After that he was given to Ak Bars Kazan for the rest of the season . In May of the same year he returned to Spartak, a month later his contract was terminated prematurely and Kassutin moved to Vityas Chekhov .

After Vitjas could no longer reach the play-offs, Kassutin was handed over to the SKA Saint Petersburg in January 2013 . In May 2013, Kassutin and Grigori Serkin were given a right to vote for the KHL Junior Draft and a compensation payment in exchange for Wadim Schipachev to Severstal Tscherepowez . At Severstal he was under contract until January 2014 and was used nine times in the KHL before he was handed over to Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod . In return, Severstal received Artyom Perschin and two voting rights for the KHL Junior Draft 2014 . In the 2014 playoffs, Kassutin again impressed with excellent performances and was the statistically best goalkeeper in the finals. Also in the 2014/15 season Kassutin impressed with excellent performances and was named KHL goalkeeper of the month October .

In June 2015 he switched to HK Lada Tolyatti within the KHL .
