Jón Arnór Stefánsson (born September 21, 1982 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic basketball player .

Career

The 1.95 m tall and 92 kg heavy shooting guard played in the basketball league for TBB Trier in the 2002/03 season . After a year with the Dallas Mavericks , for which he was not used, he won the FIBA EuroCup in 2005 with Dynamo St. Petersburg . 2006–2007 he played in Naples, then for half a season for Pamesa Valencia . 2007-2008 he was under contract with the Italian club Lottomatica Roma , for the 2008/09 season again in Iceland with KR Reykjavík . In 2009 he moved to CB Granada in the Spanish ACB league , before moving to league rivals CAI from Saragossa after two years .

His brother Ólafur Stefánsson played for the Icelandic national handball team.
