Józef Świeżyński

Józef Świeżyński (born April 19, 1868 in Wlonice , † March 12, 1948 in Sandomierz ) was a Polish politician and Prime Minister .

Life

After studying medicine , he worked as a doctor . In 1893 he first became a member of the National League ( Liga Narodowa ) founded by Roman Dmowski , before he joined the National Democratic Party ( Stronnictwo Narodowo-Demokratyczne ), also founded by Dmowski in 1897 .

On October 23, 1918, he succeeded Jan Kanty Steczkowski as Prime Minister of the Regency Kingdom of Poland . He held this office until his replacement by Władysław Wróblewski on November 3, 1918.
