József Tamás
József Tamás (born November 12, 1944 in Siculeni , Romania ) is a Romanian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Alba Iulia .
Life
József Tamás received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Alba Iulia on April 21, 1968 .
On December 18, 1996 Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Valabria and appointed him auxiliary bishop in Alba Iulia. The Archbishop of Alba Iulia, György Jakubinyi , donated him episcopal ordination on March 1, 1997 ; Co- consecrators were the retired Archbishop of Alba Iulia, Lajos Bálint , and the Apostolic Nuncio in Romania, Archbishop Janusz Bolonek .
Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on December 24, 2019.
