György-Miklós Jakubinyi (born February 13, 1946 in Sighetu Marmației ) is emeritus Roman Catholic Archbishop of Alba Iulia in Romania and Apostolic Administrator of the Ordinariate for the Armenian Believers in Romania .

Life

Jakubinyi was ordained a priest on April 13, 1969 . He studied Catholic theology a . a. in Augsburg and (from 1970) in Rome . From 1972 to 1992 he was a lecturer at the Theological College in Alba Iulia .

On 14 March 1990 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Aquae Regiae and auxiliary bishop in Alba Iulia. Jakubinyi also took part in the program of the German Catholic Days in 1994, 1998 and 2000.
