Jörg Bode (born August 22, 1969 in Melle ) is a German soccer coach and former soccer player . His nickname is "Jockel".
The midfielder Bode started playing football at TuRa Grönenberg Melle in the Osnabrück area and moved to VfL Osnabrück when he was still young . From here Bode came for the 1988/89 season to the then top division Arminia Bielefeld , where he was able to score two goals in 22 games.
Just one year later, for the 1989/90 season , Jörg Bode moved to the first division club Hamburger SV . Here he played in five seasons until the end of the 1994/95 season in a total of 82 games and scored three goals.
In 1995 Jörg Bode returned to Arminia Bielefeld, who had just qualified for the newly founded Regionalliga West / Südwest . He managed with the team the direct two-time promotion to the Bundesliga, and he stayed in the club until the 2001/02 season .
After moving to regional division FC Augsburg , for which Bode played two seasons, and one season in 2004/05 at TSV Bobingen, Jörg Bode went to the upper division SC Verl . In the 2006/07 season he made promotion to the regional league with SC Verl and ended his playing career at the end of the season.
On September 23, 2007, Bode signed a contract as head coach with the top division club Delbrücker SC and inherited Werner Koch, who had been dismissed five days earlier. At the end of October 2008 he resigned from this office.
Jörg Bode is a trained mechanical engineer and works for the Hartkämper company in Bielefeld- Sennestadt .
