Jörg Bollmann

Jörg Bollmann (born February 26, 1958 in Herford ) is a German journalist . Since 2002 he has been managing director, since 2005 director of the joint venture of Evangelische Publizistik (GEP) gGmbH and since 2004 managing director of EKD Media GmbH.

Life

After studying sociology in Bielefeld and doing a daily newspaper traineeship at the “Rotenburger Kreiszeitung” in Rotenburg (Wümme) , Jörg Bollmann worked for several years as a senior editor at radio ffn , a private radio station in Lower Saxony . He then worked as head of duty at SAT.1 Nord in Hanover, before switching to Norddeutscher Rundfunk, where he worked in various positions for almost ten years. In the Landesfunkhaus Niedersachsen in Hanover, he set up the newsroom for NDR 1 Radio Niedersachsen, with a mix of news, news magazines and current reporting in the program area. He designed the merger of the news editors with the sports editors and, in this context, promoted the career of sports journalist Kai Dittmann .

After working in Hanover, Jörg Bollmann switched to the management of the central newsroom of the NDR, based in Hamburg, developed new wave-specific news formats and managed to move the editorial team from analog to digital operations. From July 1997 to February 2002 he was responsible for a radio program as head of NDR 2 . Under his leadership, NDR 2 stabilized the number of listeners at the time and reformed the morning broadcast, in which entertainment moderators were used for the first time with Lena Aden and Uwe Bahn . In March 2002, Jörg Bollmann left the NDR to head the joint venture of Evangelical Journalism (GEP) as managing director and, from 2005, as director. In 2005, as head of the GEP, he separated the Hansische Druck- und Verlagshaus from the Süddeutscher Verlag and integrated it into the joint venture as a 100% subsidiary. With the acquisition of the broadcasting work for the Media Representative of the Council of the EKD, the program formats such as The Sunday Word and television services in the ZDF is responsible, and the launch of evangelisch.de as the Internet portal of the Evangelical Church, Jörg Bollmann built the GEP center of excellence for the nationwide media and journalism work of the Protestant church and translated the founding idea of ​​the first GEP director Robert Geisendörfer into the requirements structure of the media, digital age.

Jörg Bollmann is married and has two children.
