Jörg Gundel

Jörg Gundel (* 1967 in Erlangen ) is a German lawyer and professor at the University of Bayreuth .

Education and professional career

After completing his school education, Gundel began studying law in 1986 at the Universities of Erlangen-Nuremberg and Aix-Marseille , which he completed in 1992 with the first state examination. During the legal clerkship at the Nuremberg Higher Regional Court , Gundel also worked as a research assistant at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and received his doctorate in law in 1996 with a thesis in European law . Between 1997 and 2003 Gundel was then as a research assistant at the Free University of Berlin made and received in 2002 the teaching license of Public Law , International Law and European Law and Media Law . After substituting professorships at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main , the Ruhr University Bochum and the University of Bayreuth , Gundel received calls to Bochum and Bayreuth in the 2004/2005 winter semester , and he accepted the latter. Since then he has been in charge of the chair for public, international and European law.
