Klaus Jörg Kubitzki (born March 10, 1955 in Weida ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ), deputy state chairman of his party in Thuringia and a former member of the Thuringian state parliament .

Career

After graduation in 1973 studied Kubitzki 1973-1976 at the Military Academy of the NVA and was then from 1976 to 1990 as a professional officer of the NVA (last political officer involved). At the same time, he completed a distance learning course from 1982 to 1988 at the University of Leipzig , which he completed as a graduate philosopher and graduate teacher. After the political change he worked from 1991 for the social association VdK Thuringia, whose deputy state manager he was from 1993 to 2000. Since 1996 he has been managing director of the non-profit VdK-Sozialdienstleistungs- und Service GmbH.

Kubitzki has been a member of the PDS parliamentary group in the district assembly of the Unstrut-Hainich district since 1998 and joined the party in 1999. Since 2000 he has been a member of the state executive committee of his party (since 2007: Die Linke) and district chairman in the Unstrut-Hainich district. In 2004 he became deputy PDS state chairman alongside Ina Leukefeld . As a replacement for Bodo Ramelow , he entered the Thuringian state parliament on October 24, 2005. He is also a member of the Mühlhausen city ​​council . In the state elections in Thuringia in 2019 , he lost his state parliament mandate.
